Arla Aylesbury

Landmark Project Info

Arla’s new £150m dairy is at Aston Clinton Aylesbury, from the onset this project was designed to be the first zero carbon milk processing facility in the world.

To minimise effects on the local environment 32 acres of landscaping had to be undertaken, construction methods were also used to blend the building with the surrounding site.

Western Thermal Ltd assisted in this by finishing external insulated services with several colours of metal cladding.

This new one billion litre fresh milk dairy will supply a substantial amount of the milk in the UK.

Typically Arla’s trend is to staff facilities with people from a 20 mile radius, this will see the local community benefit from the creation of almost 700 jobs.
