Western Thermal Ltd has provided a bespoke acoustic insulation system at the Uskmouth Gas Turbine Power Plant. The brand new 824MW power station will play an important role in delivering efficient and competitive energy for UK customers.
Top priority on the project was to effectively control noise and reduce sound emissions.
The acoustic insulation was required to reduce the noise levels generated by the dry cooling process, a process that eliminates the usage of water from the condensing cycle. This was achieved and neighbouring properties were not disturbed by additional noise levels.
This major development was undertaken to programme.
